This has officially been a Dr. Ian Malcolm appreciation post.
Welcome…to Jurassic Park.
Life is like a bookstore…you go in looking for a book on phonology and then then you notice Return of the King is on sale so you’re like “Why not?” Then as you walk up to the check out you realize how silly it is to buy just the conclusion to a trilogy, so you go back and grab The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. Then you see Beowulf is on sale WITH the Old English translation so you’re just like, “Fuck, I can read Old English…this is so educational and I deserve this because I translated the Dream of the Rood and wanted to gouge my eyes out afterwards- but I’ve lost my train of thought, I need this book now.” So you grab it and from behind it pops out Childhood’s End and you’re like, “DESTINY!” So then you walk out of the bookstore with far more books then you ever intended and realize you have to walk a mile uphill in -2 degree weather with them. The point here is…life is a tempting little bitch.
I received about 5 texts involving the purchasing of said books so I feel as if I’m obligated to reblog this glorious post.
Eric finally made a tumblr. I repeat. Eric finally made a tumblr. His url is falkortheluckdragononice. Go follow him, please? He is literally an incarnation of tumblr with a dash of maybe Russell Brand. He watched Doctor Who, Buffy, Avatar, GOT, he loves comics. Basically he’s awesome, plus he’s one of my best friends. So go follow him- I promise he’s hilarious.
